BATA provides Door to Door Service

BATA offers door to door service. We will pick you up in one of our vehicles and take you to the door of your destination. All riders should be ready and waiting with in a 15 minute window of your scheduled pick up time. Drivers will only wait 5 minutes at the pick up point after 5 minutes the driver will send a no show for that rider. A return for a second trip will be charged the same day ride fare of $5.00.

Based on the time of day your ride is requested priority pick up will include: Dialysis appointments, medical appointments, employment, education and contractual agreements.

BATA is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing public transportation for persons of all ages, including those who may require specialized transportation. BATA offers services with direct pick-up and specific-destination delivery on clean, comfortable, handicap-accessible buses.

Service is available to meet the needs of all people in your community, not just a specialized population.

Safe Ride Home Program

The Safe Ride Home program is offered on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 9 PM till 3 AM, while SDSU is in session. The program offers a free ride to and from Downtown Brookings to one of the 20 spots posted on the SDSU Safe Ride Home route. Law enforcement has noted a decline in DUI arrests since BATA and SDSU Student Association initiated this program. Making Safe Ride, a win-win program!

Refusal of Service

BATA reserves the right to refuse service to riders for the following reasons: Intoxication, belligerency, offensive personal hygiene, or any other reason that might harm or make it it unsafe for the passengers, drivers or vehicle.
